Es ist nicht ganz einfach, sich in aller Kürze auf vier kleinen Seiten vorzustellen. Aber es muss gehen, denn ansonsten kann man keinen Flyer erstellen. Aktuell (Stand April 2018) sieht dieser so aus:

It´s the most to be said about a site.

Except for…

Being one of the most beautiful places in the world, there are no words to describe the condition of stray animals in Madeira.

The journalist Ricardo Freitas named it, in the Diário de Notícias, “animal Auschwitz” (https://www.dnoticias.pt/impressa/diario/opiniao/439679-madeira-auschwitz-animal) and another journalist, Luís Rocha, in Funchal Notícias, actively denounced the “animal Holocaust” perpetrated in the island (https://funchalnoticias.net/2015/03/25/holocausto-animal-na-regiao/). For the Germans, it would not be allowed to use such expressions but for the Portuguese that is not an impediment. In fact, the situation of stray animals in Madeira is dishonourable to say the least. All in all, animals seem to have no dignity whatsoever and talking about their rights may be an act of cynicism. Day after day, locals´ behaviour is ruled by ignorance. Ignorance regarding animals´ pain and suffering.

In political terms, the slaughtering of stray animals is shamefully subsidised. Local politicians like to pose in the social networks with eye-catching pure breed animals instead of trying to minimise the suffering of all the unwanted cats and dogs in the island. This responsibility is delegated to small initiatives and animal welfare associations struggling to change the status quo. Associations like Patinhas Felizes, Ajuda a Alimentar Cães, O Nosso Refúgio, Vamos Lá Madeira, Animad and PATA joined together and keep on congregating efforts in order to minimise and solve this sad problem, obviously without any support from the politicians or the Government.

What is it worth for the neglected animals the flowers?

What is it worth for them the “eternal Spring”?

How is it possible a “pearl” to be proud when unspeakable animal suffering and torment hangs over it?

How can the tourists enjoy their holidays in this paradise knowing that it is idyllic to human beings alone, but simultaneously, a vivid hell for the animals?

Is it possible that political decision-makers think that, disregarding ethics and moral, their beautiful island will still have a nice image abroad instead of a ruinous one, which seems to be progressively the case?

Can´t they grasp what is at stake and how much there is to lose in terms of tourism, once the visitors will not desire to spend their time in an island that treats the animals in such a barbarous way?

Please, support our petition and help make all political decision-makers realise that their apathy and inaction is seriously damaging Madeira.

A “eterna Primavera madeirense”
é um longo Inverno para os animais

“Ilha florida”

É o nome pelo qual os Alemães conhecem a Madeira.

“A ilha da eterna Primavera”

Igualmente, um epíteto a que associam a Região.

“Pérola do Atlântico”

Mais não se pode dizer de um local.

Uma joia!

Excetuando…

Sendo um dos lugares de rara beleza no mundo, faltam palavras que descrevam o que se passa com os animais – sobretudo os errantes - na Madeira.

Ricardo Freitas chamou-lhe, no Diário de Notícias,“Auschwitz animal” (https://www.dnoticias.pt/impressa/diario/opiniao/439679-madeira-auschwitz-animal) e Luís Rocha, no Funchal Notícias, denunciou o “Holocausto animal” que se pratica na Região (https://funchalnoticias.net/2015/03/25/holocausto-animal-na-regiao/). Para os Alemães, seria impensável utilizar tais expressões, mas para os portugueses, elas são permitidas. Efetivamente, a situação na Madeira é desonrosa. Em suma, os animais não têm qualquer dignidade, e falar dos seus direitos parece um ato de cinismo. Dia após dia, o comportamento de muitos dos habitantes parece pautado pela ignorância. Ignorância em relação à atroz dor dos animais.

Do ponto de vista político, o abate de animais errantes é vergonhosamente subsidiado. Os políticos locais costumam gostar de posar em fotos nas redes sociais com vistosos exemplares de raça, ao invés de tentar minimiar a dor dos cães e gatos errantes da ilha. Esta responsabilidade é deixada às pequenas iniciativas e Associações, que tentam desesperadamente alterar este estado de coisas. Associações como Patinhas Felizes, Ajuda a Alimentar Cães, O Nosso Refúgio, Vamos Lá Madeira, Animad e PATA, que se juntam e congregam esforços no sentido de minimizar e resolver este triste problema, evidentemente, sem o apoio dos decisores políticos nem do Governo Regional.

De que valem para os animais negligenciados as flores?

De que vale, para estes animais, a “eterna Primavera”?

Como pode uma “pérola” orgulhar-se, se a sombra da indizível dor dos animais paira sobre ela?

Como podem os turistas desfrutar de férias neste paraíso, se ele é apenas idílico para os seres humanos, mas simultaneamente, um perfeito inferno para os animais?

Como podem os decisores políticos pensar que, à revelia da ética e da moral, a sua bela ilha tem uma imagem agradável no estrangeiro, em vez de uma imagem ruinosa, que é o que de facto está progressivamente a acontecer?

Não estarão conscientes do quanto têm, efetivamente, a perder em termos de promoção turística, uma vez que os visitantes não irão querer fazer férias numa região que se comporta de modo tão bárbaro em relação aos animais?

Por favor, apoie e promova a nossa petição, para que os decisores políticos entendam que a sua apatia e inação está a prejudicar gravemente a Madeira.

Der immerwährende Frühling der Tiere –
ist aktuell ein strenger Winter

„Blumeninsel“.

So wird sie hier in Deutschland oft genannt.

„Die Insel des immerwährenden Frühlings“.

Auch eine sehr schöne Bezeichnung.

„Die Perle des Atlantiks“.

Mehr geht nicht.

Ein Juwel.

Wäre da nicht…

Angesichts eines so wunderschönen Fleckchens Erde fehlen einem die Worte bei der Beschreibung dessen, was man im Umgang mit Tieren leider viel zu häufig auf Madeira vorfindet.

Ricardo Freitas titelte in der Tageszeitung Diario Noticias: „Holocausto Animal“!

Deutschen würde sich ein solcher Vergleich verbieten. Einem Madeirenser sei er gestattet. Denn die Zustände auf Madeira sind menschenunwürdig. Von der Würde der Tiere in diesem Zusammenhang zu sprechen wäre geradezu zynisch. „Würde“. Damit hat das Dahinvegetieren vieler Tiere auf Madeira nichts zu tun.

Im Alltag ist das Verhalten viel zu vieler Einheimischer von Ignoranz geprägt. Ignoranz dem Leid der Tiere gegenüber. Politisch wird die Tötung von Tieren subventioniert. Und einheimische Politiker posieren auf Bildern in sozialen Netzwerken lieber mit ihren Rassehunden, anstatt sich in ihrer politischen Tätigkeit dem Leid der Hunde und der Katzen auf ihrer Insel zu widmen. Dies überlassen sie einigen kleinen Initiativen und Vereinen, die verzweifelt bemüht sind, etwas an der Lage zu verändern. Kleine Gruppen mit Namen wie Ajuda a Alimentar Cães, Patinhas Felizes, Animad,. PATA, O nosso Refugio oder Vamos lá Madeira, die sich inzwischen gemeinsam dem Problem stellen. Selbstverständlich ohne wie auch immer geartete Unterstützung der Regierenden.

Was nützen den Tieren die Blumen?

Was nützt ihnen der immerwährende Frühling?

Wie soll eine Perle erstrahlen, auf die der Schatten eines derart großen Tierleids fällt?

Wie soll man entspannt einen Urlaub im Paradies verbringen, wenn es nur ein Paradies für Menschen, jedoch die Hölle für viele Tiere ist?

Wieso meinen verantwortliche Politiker – denen die Tiere und somit ethische und moralische Fragen offensichtlich vollkommen gleichgültig sind - ihre Insel könne sich ein derart ruinöses Image ideell und materiell im Außenraum leisten? Wissen sie nicht, wie viel ihnen an Reputation und damit an Touristen ihnen verloren gehen, weil diese potenziellen Touristen keine Region unterstützen möchten, die derart mit Tieren verfährt?

Unterstützt bitte unsere Petition, damit die Verantwortlichen Madeiras erfahren, was sie ihrer wunderschönen Insel mit ihrer Tatenlosigkeit antun.
